Making Appointments
When it comes to making appointments, patients can either do so themselves or be referred from their GP, Consultant or Insurance company. A referral letter is not required in order to make an appointment at the clinic. Consultation with a physiotherapist is only available by appointment.
All of our appointments are based at 51 Forest Road, Loughborough, Leics, LE11 3NW
Please contact us by calling 01509 263932, emailing mail@loughboroughphysio.co.uk or by booking online

VIDEO APPOINTMENTS:
If you’re injured, sore or struggling with physical problems, you can still access help. Video appointments allow patients to access physiotherapy when face-to-face treatment isn’t an option. Make sure to mention that you want/require a video appointment when booking.
Can anyone use video appointments?
You’re eligible for video appointments if any of the following applies to you:
- You’re shielding because you fall under a clinically vulnerable category
- You’re self-isolating because you are or have been experiencing Covid-19 symptoms
- You’re staying at home by choice
- Living with someone who is shielding, clinically vulnerable or self-isolating
- It’s impractical to travel into the clinic or you have transport issues
- You live far from the clinic
- Childcare issues make finding time for physio difficult
- Work commitments make finding time for physio difficult
What do I need for video appointments?
Other than yourself, you’ll need:
- A stable internet connection
- A mobile device (laptop, tablet or phone)
- Ideally, a small space so that you can perform any exercises or movements with supervision and guidance from your physiotherapist
How does a video appointment work?
We can do video appointments in a number of ways. This could include using Zoom or a direct link to a video consultation.
- The physio or clinic staff will be in contact to set you up.
- You will be sent an email link to remind you of your booking the morning of your appointment – this will have instructions within this.
- If your physio is accessing the appointment using Zoom, they will send you a direct Zoom invitation link so you can access your appointment
- If technical issues occur, please call us and we’ll try to get you up and running as soon as we can.
Cancellation policy, including late arrivals and non-attendance
Late cancellations, non-attendance, and late arrivals restrict our ability to treat all those who require it and our ability as a clinic to operate in an effective manner.
We request the following from all clinic patients when making bookings:
Please allow a minimum 24hrs notice of cancellation by calling 01509 263932 when you know you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If no one is available to answer the phone, please leave a message or email us with your name, contact number and details of your appointment. You can also reply to the text reminder of your appointment. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24hrs notice: the following charges will be in place:
- First time cancellation with under 24 hours of notice — 50% of treatment cost.
- First time non-attendance — 50% of treatment cost.
- Any future late cancellation, no-show/missed treatment — 100% of treatment cost.
Late arrivals to appointments will still be charged the full cost of treatment.
We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances or events out of our patients’ control may result in a late notice cancellation or non-attendance. The Clinic will do our best to recognise these situations, therefore our Cancellation Policy decisions will be subject to clinical discretion between the director and the patient.
